As an advocate for her clients, Veleka Eskinde has provided services in a variety of areas and works tirelessly to obtain positive outcomes.
Attorney Eskinde attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where she majored in English, Political Science, Chemistry Premed, and Art. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in 1994. Two years later, she enrolled in a legal studies program at Southern University School of Law (SULC), where she received a J.D. degree in 2001. Subsequent to earning her law degree, she earned a Master of Arts in English Literature (in British and American literature) in 2006. Attorney Eskinde also earned certifications in both Family Law and Commercial Mediation courses.
From 2004 through 2011, Ms. Eskinde was a judical law clerk at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal for Judge Charles R. Jones.
In 2012, she was appointed to the position of Administrative General Counsel for the Court when Judge Jones became Chief Judge.
In 2013, Ms. Eskinde started her own solo law practice. Since then, she has also been engaged in various legal consulting capacities, worked as a juvenile prosecutor in Orleans Parish, and most recently was engaged as an administrative hearing officer for the New Orleans City Council for both its Property Tax Appeal Program and its Sewerage & Water Board's Bill Dispute Program. Ms. Eskinde also participates in the Annual Lawyers in Libraries Program through the Louisiana State
Bar Association.
Ms. Eskinde believes in taking a client-focused approach to each case, ensuring that her clients are informed and involved throughout the legal process. She is always available to answer questions and provide guidance, and works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for each client.
